Behind the video:

Behind this clip, there is some experience of the Middle East where I lived, as expatriate, for several years. Middle East countries social life is known, and I confirm, to keep the women in a housewife situation. This was also the case in most of the other regions in the past, but it is less and less true. As a result the young men not yet married are looking for friendship, as girls are not so easily available, and mature men are also between males, once they have left home. This situation make man to man relationship, and sometime more, something not unusual.
Clearly this is not approved or even recognized by these societies, which officialy and firmly condemn the homosexual relations. But the reality is somehow different, and young men or even mature men are having sex together, even if we have to regret that some gays are arrested and even condamned to death in few countries.

Behind the soundtrack:

The soundtrack is a duet between Sting, the Bristish singer and Cheb Mami, an Algerian singer who also lives in France. The name of the song is ‘Desert Rose’ from the Album Brand New Day released by Sting in 1999.

Reasons to share

I would to share this video, which I published on Dailymotion for the following reasons. 

Michel Berger composer of "Diego, libre dans sa tête"

First the clip is supported by the song of the French composer Michel Berger, who is in my opinion a major French artsit, unfortunately he is gone. This song is about Diego, a young opponent of the political power of an  undisclosed  country. By his name Diego, one can imagine the country he wants.
The actual name of the song is “Diego, libre dans sa tête”, i.e. “Diego, free in his mind”.

The clip also includes some trailer from a major movie at the end of  the 70′s, Midnight Express, directed by Alan Parker and starring Brad Davis, an American actor who died from overdose as he was suffering from AIDS,  in 1991. Brad Davis is Billy Hayes, a young American student sent to a Turkish prison for trying to smuggle hashish out of Turkey.

Finally even if the song is about political repression, I have used this idea to remind that sexual preference when it comes to same sex, is not totally accepted in our society. And it is still worth to fight for this Freedom!

This video is a montage which includes sexy and hot men playing sports or wearing sportswear. The soundtrack is ‘Paparazzi’ by Lady Gaga.
